Applications are invited for the above post of Consultant Rheumatologist based at Worthing Hospital, part of the Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Consultant colleague to join our existing team of 2 Consultants in Worthing and 2 Consultants in St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester.
This is a replacement post, following a retirement, and will be primarily based at Worthing Hospital, with sessions at Southlands Hospital in Shoreham-by-Sea. The department is currently supported by three clinical nurse specialists and two clinical assistants.
Applicants with a special interest in metabolic bone disease and experience in paediatric rheumatology would be particularly welcome. There may be opportunities for sessions in acute/general medicine, including on-call commitment, for candidates who are dually accredited in general medicine.

All newly appointed Consultants are mentored, via the “WSHFT Mentorship scheme for senior medical staff”.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview. Applications from candidates who, for personal reasons, are unable to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for this post.
