Trust Doctor in Vascular Surgery (ST3)
This is an opportunity to take your potential further in an NHS Trust that’s as passionate as you are about providing excellent patient care – and that will be just as passionate about giving you exceptional scope for professional development in an environment with a talented and highly experienced multidisciplinary team. It’s an opportunity to live and work in Kent, a county with a spectacular coastline, gentrified seaside towns, a historic cathedral city and mile upon mile of beautiful countryside. Also, being close to high speed rail links means you are just 40 minutes from London and just 3 hours from Paris.
At East Kent Hospitals University Foundation NHS Trust, we’re committed to providing our Doctors with a credible development programme through great experience to ensure we achieve the highest standards of clinical practice and care. For you, development might mean gaining experience to progress within your Vascular career, or you might be looking for continuing professional development and the chance to keep on updating your skills and knowledge base. Either way, you’ll be part of our experienced multidisciplinary team, ensuring we deliver the highest standards of care, all with support from a Consultant mentor. You will have the opportunity to learn and carry out key vascular duties and procedures, and also gain experience as first on-call during out of hours for Urology, Vascular and General Surgery at the Kent & Canterbury hospital site.
Team working, a flexible approach, and the ability to adapt to changes in the working enviroment are all important in this role, and we will offer you an excellent working and development experience in return. We would love to welcome you to our team.
With at least four years’ full-time post-graduate training (or equivalent), you’ll have been exposed to vascular for at least 12 months, and will have full GMC registration.
