Consultant in Dermatology
The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH) is seeking to appoint a Consultant in Dermatology.
The post holder will have responsibility for providing a Dermatology service in conjunction with consultant colleagues. This is a permanent post 1.0 WTE covering 10 PAs based at the James Paget University Hospital covering 5 days per week Monday to Friday.
There will be no on-call commitments.
Applicants wishing to do a job share allowing them to work part time are also welcome.
The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH) provides medical services for a population of approximately 230,000 living in South East Norfolk & North East Suffolk, plus a large number of visitors to the coast & the Norfolk Broads. The James Paget University Hospital provides approximately a third of the secondary care teaching for the Norwich Medical School based at the University of East Anglia (UEA). The JPUH was the first Hospital to achieve foundation status (2006) in East Anglia & it is highly regarded within the region. The Trust is proud to have maintained its ‘Good’ CQC rating consistently since November 2015.
The Hospital is situated in a mainly rural area in one of the most picturesque & unspoilt parts of the country. Consultant support is provided through various means including Specialist Nurse Practitioners who conduct second line therapy reviews, isotretinoin clinics etc. There is also a well-established photo therapy/PDT & allergy investigation clinic, along with complex surgery support, biological MDT’s & a designated MDT co-ordinator.
The position provides an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified specialist to actively contribute to the further development of a modern Dermatology service within this highly regarded Trust with its wide range of acute & community services, which will afford high professional visibility.
