This is a full time post in Early Intervention and Rehabilitation Psychiatry is based in Swindon.

Swindon was originally a small market town, but with the arrival of the Great Western Railway in 1840 a new town was built. Swindon is strategically located on the M4 corridor within easy commuting distance to London, Bath and Bristol. The busy town of Reading is less than 30 minutes by road.

Swindon is surrounded by beautiful rural countryside including the Marlborough Downs, the Cotswolds and the famous Lydiard Park which makes it ideal for walking and other outdoor activities. It is a bustling multicultural town with access to high quality schooling, healthcare, entertainment and leisure facilities.

The Early Intervention team is a well-established multidisciplinary team benefiting with expertise provided by Psychiatric nurses, social workers and a clinical psychologist. The team caseload is tightly managed to give adequate time for this complex patient group. Windswept is a 14 bedded long stay ward led by an experienced Occupational therapist with a full complement of staff with both junior and specialty support.
