Consultant in Emergency Medicine
An opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our cohesive, friendly and supportive team at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
The Emergency Department sees over 115,000 patients per year of which 25% are Paediatric. It is a Level 2 Trauma Centre and is linked with a Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit. The department provides staffing and advice to local MIUs and is contracted by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to provide medical advice to shipping around the world. In recent years the department has evolved to provide ultrasound mentoring, significant research activity and high quality education with both the Regional Head of School and Regional Simulation Lead based in the department.
