Whipps Cross Hospital is looking to recruit enthusiastic Emergency Medicine Consultants in newly created posts.

Why choose Whipps Cross? We can offer the best of both worlds with a combination of working in a District General Hospital serving a diverse local population as well as being part of Barts Health one of the largest Trusts in the country, with the Royal London and its major trauma centre and Air Ambulance service. There are exciting times ahead, the hospital is currently developing the case for Whipps Cross to be completely redeveloped and build a health and wellbeing campus.

These new posts provide a sustainable work life balance for those who love Emergency Medicine and our newly funded posts.

There are opportunities for a tailor made job plan to develop a special interest. We are endorsing the RCEM workforce planning guidance 2018 to work towards a sustainable work life balance for our ED consultants. See the proposed working  week timetable.

We are proud to offer flexible working to suit your needs, whether that is to work fixed days because you may have other regular commitments or to pursue other interests. All the consultants self-roster, so that you take control of your working week.

We are a department that is transforming to ensure we are delivering emergency medicine fit for the future, you can be part of this and shape the future. Are you are someone with a head full of ideas and wanting to put into action? Whether you are a trainee at the end of your training, or an established consultant who is looking for change, Whipps Cross Emergency department has the job for you. There are multiple opportunities to lead and implement change.
