SENIOR LECTURERS
Competitive remuneration packages, commensurate with career status
Canterbury, Kent & Medway

This is your chance to join Kent and Medway Medical School in pioneering a new era of responsive, student-centred medical education. As a Senior Lecturer you will be ensuring that the next generation of medical professionals benefit from the best assessment strategy and system, whether on campus or on placements.

Kent and Medway Medical School has been created to be a beacon for first-class medical education and research. Bringing together the resources of the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University, our whole ethos is one of partnership. The role of Senior Lecturer involves working in close collaboration with our programme, academic and administrative teams across both Universities, the education leads at our healthcare partners, and a wide range of external bodies.

Embedded in our local community, focused on the individual - and yet always addressing the wider view of modern, integrated healthcare – we aim to attract the best talent, to explore and inspire much-needed innovations and to guide the way ahead.

Senior Lecturer opportunities exist in the following areas:

  • Undergraduate Programme Director – Grade 9 (Clinical NHS Market Supplement where appropriate)
  • Assessment Lead – NHS Consultant 7 (Commensurate with career status)
  • Admissions Lead – Grade 9 (Clinical NHS Market Supplement where appropriate)
  • Quality and Governance Lead – Grade 9 (Clinical NHS Market Supplement where appropriate)
  • Student Choice Lead – Grade 9 (Clinical NHS Market Supplement where appropriate)

We’re looking for people who can combine strategic vision with a natural feel for developing mutually beneficial partnerships. People who have plenty of relevant expertise, but also a willingness to scan the horizon for promising new ways of teaching, learning and assessing. The way we see it, you shouldn’t just be able to develop, manage and deliver a medical curriculum, you should also understand what the world expects of trend-setting curriculum design.

We are keen to attract true innovators and catalysts of change who are looking for the challenge of something new.
