Our Women’s Medium Secure Integrated Practice Unit (IPU) offers a gender specific treatment programme for women patients who require specialist forensic input. The IPU consists of 3 wards comprising of an assessment and stabilisation ward, and a ward each for the management of personality disorder and mental illness. The care and treatment offered is based on a multidisciplinary therapeutic programme focused on individual patient.
The IPU offers an excellent opportunity to deliver value-based healthcare focusing on clinical outcomes. The IPU is focusing on using clinically relevant outcomes that will support the recovery and progress of patients to less restrictive environments in line with improvements in their mental health and reductions in their risk.
You will lead a full MDT and help shape services further through strategic decision-making and improvement projects. You will also be able to undertake research projects as part of St Andrew's commitment to innovation and world-class care.
You must have MRCPsych or equivalent and hold a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or Adult Psychiatry
