Required to fill this replacement post within the Cellular Pathology Department. As well as serving the population of Leeds, the Trust is a major tertiary and regional referral centre. This post will provide the appropriately skilled, successful applicant, the opportunity of working closely with the histopathology specialty teams. The department works in a fully specialised manner and the current needs are in specialist liver and breast pathology services. Further specialty training will be offered if required. There is the opportunity to contribute to another sub-specialty interest of applicants in line with the needs of the service. Cellular Pathology is housed in 'state of the art' accommodation in the heart of the Leeds Institute of Oncology, close to excellent MDTM facilities. The department is currently rolling out digital reporting having successfully achieved the milestone of scanning all slides produced in the lab. This is a major collaborative project between the Department, University and Leica.
