Temporary General Practitioner Vacancy

(Six months - starting around March 2019)

Salaried (7-8 sessions)

If you’re seeking variety, job satisfaction and personal time with your family to engage in social, cultural and recreational opportunities, Skye is for you.

If you feel that excellent clinical care and good team working are more important than number crunching, box ticking and hoop jumping, we would like to hear from you.

Our practice area covers the stunningly beautiful North Skye and the Isle of Raasay, with a practice population of approximately 5,500. There are two branch surgeries run weekly with rural visits and weekly visits to the local nursing and residential homes. Medical supervision of Portree Community Hospital (12 inpatient beds) adds another dimension. We are an approved post-graduate training practice and also supervise under-graduate students from the University of Dundee; regular PBSGL groups are run locally, as well as medical education events supported by visiting consultants.

If you would like to know more visit our website (www.portreemedical.scot.nhs.uk) or contact Melanie Newman, Deputy Practice Manager via the apply click button. Informal enquires and visits are encouraged.

Closing date for applications: 1st February 2019
