Consultant in Medical Microbiology/Infection
Applications are invited for the above post of Consultant in Medical Microbiology/ Infection based at St. Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, part of the Western Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a clinically focused Medical Microbiologist or Infection specialist jointly trained in Medical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases to join the Infection team of 4 Consultants (including this post), and 2 Higher Specialist Trainees, across the trust. 2 Consultants are based at St. Richard’s Hospital and 2 at Worthing Hospital.
Microbiology laboratory services for the Trust and West Sussex community are provided by the Microbiology Laboratory based at St Richard’s Hospital, which has recently been awarded UKAS accreditation.

All newly appointed Consultants are mentored, via the “WSHFT Mentorship scheme for senior medical staff”.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration at the time of interview. Applications from candidates who, for personal reasons, are unable to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for this post.
