Consultant Breast Radiologist

Applications are invited for a Breast Radiologist to join the busy Breast team at the hospital supporting both the Screening and symptomatic service.
We undertake in excess of 25 000 examinations per year and have a screening population of around 56,000 women.
The Breast Screening Unit is located within a purpose built integrated Breast Care centre within the hospital’s Treatment Centre. The unit is fully digitally compliant and consists of 2 Static GE Essential mammography units, with stereotactic biopsy attachment. There is one mobile screening unit which also has GE Essential equipment. The Trust performs Breast MRI and has an Encore Enspire MRI compatible Vacuum Biopsy Unit. The unit has a Faxitron specimen X-Ray unit and 2 GE Logiq S8 T ultrasound scanners. There is a Kubtec Mozart 3D specimen imaging system digital in theatre.
The Imaging service is supported by a GE PACS and is part of the EMRAD consortium.
The successful candidate must hold FRCR or equivalent and be fully registered with the GMC and either be on or within 6 months of entry onto the Specialist Register on the date of interview
