Consultant in Medical Oncology
The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (UHBristol) is looking to appoint 2 dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant Medical Oncologists to join our expanding team. The appointed consultants will work with established teams at The Bristol Cancer Institute to address issues of increasing workload and sub-specialisation. The posts form part of the strategic development of cancer services developing joint pathways of care across the region with some sessions at either North Bristol NHS Trust or Weston Area Health NHS Trust (WAHT). The proposed areas of sub-specialisation are outlined below although candidates with other areas of interest are encouraged to enquire about the posts.
Consultant Medical Oncologist with specialist interest in Hepatobiliary, Melanoma and cancer of unknown primary – 10 PAs
This substantive post is for a Medical Oncologist (10 PAs) based at the Bristol Cancer Institute with sessions at North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT). The outline job plan focuses on the care of patients with hepatobiliary cancer, melanoma and cancer of unknown primary.
Consultant Medical Oncologist with specialist interest in Lung and Lower Gastrointestinal cancer - 10 PAs
This substantive post is for a Medical Oncologist (10 PAs) with specialist skills in lung and lower gastrointestinal cancers based at the Bristol Cancer Institute with sessions at North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) and Weston Area Health NHS Trust. It is anticipated that the appointed Consultant will spend 3 days / week at UHBristol, 1 day/week at NBT and 1 day/week at WAHT.
