Consultant in Clinical Oncology
The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (UHBristol) is looking to appoint 2 dynamic and enthusiastic Consultanant Clinical Oncologists to join our expanding team. The appointed consultants will work with established teams at The Bristol Cancer Institute to address issues of increasing workload and sub-specialisation. The posts form part of the strategic development of cancer services developing joint pathways of care across the region with some sessions at either North Bristol NHS Trust or Weston Area Health NHS Trust (WAHT). The proposed areas of sub-specialisation are outlined below although candidates with other areas of interest are encouraged to enquire about the posts.
Consultant Clinical Oncologist with specialist interest in Neuro-oncology and one other tumour - 10 PAs
This substantive post is for a Clinical Oncologist (10 PAs) with specialist skills in neuro-oncology and one other area dependent on the candidate’s experience and interest. The outline job-plan delivers care for patients with neuro-oncology and breast cancers. Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a special interest in Neuro-oncology and Lymphoma - 8.25 PA’s
This substantive post is for a permanent (8.25PA) Clinical Oncologist with specialist skills in the management of neuro-oncology and lymphoma. It is anticipated the appointed consultant will work 4 days/week at UHBristol with some sessions at NBT to attend the relevant MDTs. Successful candidates must be on the Specialist Register of the GMC with a valid licence to practice in line with the introduction of revalidation on 16 November 2009. They will have completed Specialist Training (or equivalent), or have a CCT date in either Clinical or Medical Oncology (dependent on post applied for) within six months of the date of interview.
