Locum Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care (10PAs)
You are invited for locum cover for the post of PICU consultant to join a team of 10 Consultant Intensivists, starting April 2019 at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
This is a full time, 10 Professional Activity (PA) appointment with a Direct Clinical Care (DCC) to Supporting Professional Activity (SPA) split of 9 to 1. You will be appointed for a fixed term contract to be determined after competitive interview. You will participate in the first and second consultant on call rota and support consultant rota on PICU. The first on call consultant is scheduled to be present from 8:00- 19:00 Monday to Fridays, and on Saturday and Sunday 8:05-12:30 and 17:00-18:30. There must be a consultant led ward round twice a day, every day, with consultant available on site for support the rest of the day. The second consultant on call and support consultant roles are from 8:00 to 16:00 hours weekdays only.
You must have achieved certificate of completion of training (CCT) in paediatrics or anaesthetics and have completed 2 years of training in a recognised paediatric intensive care training centre, or if a UK trainee in a deanery post be within 6 months of CCT in paediatrics with subspecialist interest in paediatric intensive care medicine.
