Consultant Psychiatrist - Early Intervention Psychiatry
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Early Intervention in Psychosis, 0.8 WTE, working with a well-established service providing assessment & treatment to people aged 14-62 years presenting with at-risk mental states & first episode psychosis. Medical input to patients under 18 is provided by the local CAMHS service.
The team is fully multidisciplinary with members delivering a range of evidence-based psychosocial interventions “in-house”.
The BaNES locality of AWP is well served by a full range of mental health services including Primary care & hospital liaison, therapies, Intensive, Recovery, Older Adult and acute inpatient teams. The successful applicant will be part of a supportive and cohesive Consultant peer group and participate in the local 1 in 7 (pro rata) on call rota.
The beautiful World Heritage city of Bath is situated within easy distance of the M4 and is home to two large universities and a thriving tourist industry. The locality encompasses the urban area of Bath and its rural surrounds, with a wide degree socioeconomic diversity.
Services have close links with the University of Bristol Medical School, with appropriate opportunities for undergraduate teaching experience and attracts psychiatric trainees within the Severn Deanery School of Psychiatry.
