Consultant Interventional Radiologist
A great team seeks a new member….we are seeking a dynamic radiologist to join our team to be involved in the increasingly interesting and challenging demand for interventional and general imaging. You will have a key role in developing interventional radiology locally and an opportunity to develop areas of specialist interest.
Our interventional team support a growing acute and day case demand locally for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and is also integral to supporting vascular surgical services across the South Mersey Arterial network.
Our reporting schedule is friendly, co-operative and civilised, with strong emphasis on the team – we will actively choose the right candidate based on all round clinical skills and ability to be a team member.
We combine the intimate warmth of a DGH with the high standard imaging provision of a teaching hospital; our excellent clinical colleagues increasingly expect a high calibre, cutting edge service which we aim to continue to provide via expansion, both of equipment and staff, to maintain our high standing and respect within the hospital.
The interventional radiologist on call supports the South Mersey Arterial network and is separate to the general radiology on call rota.
If you wish to join us in this challenge, supported ably by Radiology trainees and skilled radiography support, and set in a beautiful part of the country, then please apply.
The department is associated with the Merseyside Radiology training scheme. Teaching and research are encouraged and a major emphasis is placed on quality through regular audit and case review meetings.
