A great team seeks new members….we are seeking dynamic radiologists to join our team to be involved in the increasingly interesting and challenging demand for general and advanced imaging, with a strong subspecialty interest in either MSK or cardiac imaging.

Our reporting schedule is friendly, co-operative and civilised, with strong emphasis on the team – we will actively choose the right candidate based on all round clinical skills and ability to be a team member. The post will give you an opportunity to develop your specialist interest working closely with consultant colleagues within the Trust.

We combine the intimate warmth of a DGH with the high standard imaging provision of a teaching hospital; our excellent clinical colleagues increasingly expect a high calibre, cutting edge service which we aim to continue to provide via expansion, both of equipment and staff, to maintain our high standing and respect within the hospital.

Radiologists are second on call, supervising a Mersey Specialty Trainee as part of an on call collaborative reporting hub.

If you wish to join us in this challenge, supported ably by Radiology trainees and skilled radiography support, and set in a beautiful part of the country, then please apply.

The department is associated with the Merseyside Radiology training scheme. Teaching and research are encouraged and a major emphasis is placed on quality through regular audit and case review meetings.

Chester is a famous tourist destination with direct transport links to nearby Liverpool and Manchester. The city has great housing and schools, both government and independent, offers excellent facilities and has easy access to the motorway network and regional airports and is not far from the Lake District and Snowdonia.

This is a full time position but candidates wishing to work part-time or in a job share are encouraged to apply. If a part-time or job-share person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed with the appointee on a personal basis.

The successful candidate must have full GMC registration, possess FRCR (or equivalent), have completed specialist training and be on the specialist register or be within 6 months of obtaining CCT.
