Required to fill this full time replacement post for a consultant clinical oncologist, with special interests in lymphoma and sarcoma working at one of the most prestigious oncology departments in the UK.
You will join two highly experienced and motivated teams delivering treatment for lymphoma and sarcoma and be responsible for delivering radiotherapy for lymphoma working closely with two other consultants. As part of the team, you will work in joint clinics with the other Clinical Oncologists and Haematologists; this will include out-patient chemotherapy delivery as part of the team but not supervision of inpatients receiving chemotherapy (who are cared for by the Haematology team).
You will provide clinical oncology support to MDT meetings in Leeds and also by video-link to peripheral units. The successful candidate will also work as part of the experienced sarcoma team, attending one clinic and one regional MDT based at the Leeds Cancer Centre. You will work closely with one other consultant Clinical Oncologist, providing radiotherapy and follow up care. They will also work alongside 3 medical oncologists delivering chemotherapy.
