We are looking to recruit a motivated Consultant in General Paediatrics for this replacement post, joining colleagues in a dynamic and highly supportive Paediatric Department. This is a replacement post, to support the reconfiguration of the child health service, and develop the neonatal service in response to the recent centralisation of maternity care in West Wales; you will join colleagues in a very dynamic and forward looking General Paediatrics department. We are looking for a paediatrician with broad experience; special interests are encouraged, including neonates, nephrology, and neurology. The general paediatric service covers our busy inpatient ward, HDU, and Paediatric Ambulatory Care Unit, with outpatients alongside. The neonatal service has merged across the units in the 3 counties to enable BAPM standards are met, and provide ongoing paediatric training. This is an exciting time to join the team, as we ensure outreach nursing, dietetics, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy is put at the centre of neonatal care, alongside our expanding neonatal nursing team. This post is primarily based in Carmarthenshire. The SCBU plays its part in the South Wales Neonatal network, with CHANTs providing transport.
