We are a flourishing East Cambridgeshire practice in Soham (Staploe Medical Centre, 20500 patients) and Ely (Cathedral Medical Centre, 11000 patients). We are advanced in the process of merging with another local practice to take us up to nearly 40000 patients. We also provide medical cover at our local Minor Injuries Unit, and planned developments in Ely give us a strong position to form a Primary Care Network.
Our GPs are motivated, supported and engaged. We support skill mixing and innovation from staff, and reward our GPs well (minimum £88,000 wte + MDU, with additional earning opportunities). Our ethos highlights the importance of clinical quality and staff development in delivering safe, efficient, quality healthcare. We have highly developed admin support teams processing our letters and enacting medication changes, and clinical support from highly trained nurses and Advanced Practitioners.
Our practice is well-regarded for student teaching, GP and nurse training and we strongly encourage our GP’s professional development. We enjoy weekly clinical governance and quarterly half day closures, with daily coffee meetings for clinical discussions and case sharing.
