We are seeking to recruit Consultants in Acute Medicine to join our friendly innovative team of 8 consultants and 2 GP’s who are committed to providing the very highest standards of care.
The Acute Medicine department at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is a dynamic department known for taking a proactive role in service development, quality improvement, and education and training. Acute Medicine benefits from strong departmental and directorate leadership and has easy working relationships with the hospital executive team through its work in development of our acute services.
Acute Medicine is well known as a nurturing and supportive department both for senior medical staff and for doctors in training. We work collaboratively with the well-established multidisciplinary teams of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and discharge co-ordinators on our two Emergency Assessment Units and our Acute Medical Unit, all of which maintain a strong culture of safety and professionalism.
