Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in Cataract and Accident & Emergency
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in Cataract and Accident & Emergency, City Road and North Divisions.
The postholder will be responsible for the management of Cataract and Accident & Emergency patients. The successful candidate will be expected to provide training for junior doctors and to support the further development of the Consultant Ophthalmologist specializing in Cataract and Accident & Emergency, City Road and North Divisions
Candidates should have completed their Specialist Training in Ophthalmology, have their Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent, or be within six months of their CCT date. Candidates are required to be in possession of the Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists or equivalent.
The holder of this post is required to be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice. The successful candidate should have completed at least a year of subspecialty Cataract fellowship training.
All doctors are responsible to maintain a portfolio of their career over the last 5 years in order to satisfy GMC Revalidation criteria. If successful, you will be required to bring along your supporting information portfolio including recent appraisals documents when joining the Trust.
