NIHR Lecturer (Clinical) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Salary to be determined with due regard to the transitional arrangements relating to the 2016 contract for doctors and dentists in training (if applicable). Indicative scales; 2016 scale for doctors and dentists in training; £26,614 to £46,208 per annum
(plus pay premia, where eligible)
Post-2009 Clinical Lecturer scale;
£32,478 to £57,444 per annum

This post provides an exciting opportunity for an individual with relevant research experience, wishing to pursue a clinical academic career in Obstetrics, to join an expanding research programme in Obstetrics and whilst continuing clinical training at Specialty Registrar level. You should have obtained a PhD in a relevant area with Clinical Obstetric and Gynaecology experience at Specialty Registrar level and able to demonstrate outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic. You will be based in the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health, located in the Centre for Women’s Health Research at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. With the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health there is a flourishing research environment, with an emphasis on the career development of young researchers. Main research interests include preterm birth prevention, research synthesis and clinical trials in obstetrics and endometrial diseases.

The post is available for 4 years or until CCT, whichever is sooner.
Applicants must have been awarded their PhD by the interview date and must be in a position to take up the post before the 31 March 2019.
