Applications are invited from Consultants/Clinical Academics or Academics who have a particular interest in Medical Education and in leading and shaping medical curricula, for this exciting role in the School of Medicine. Your expertise and understanding in relation to the development of undergraduate curricula and relevant assessment techniques will be used to support the Director of Studies in overseeing and co-ordinating all teaching throughout the MBChB curriculum. You will be a vital part of the team responsible for leading development of the new MBChB curriculum.

Under the direction of the Director of Studies, you will have responsibility for ensuring that curriculum content maps to current regulatory expectations, including Outcomes for Graduates and develops students’ understanding in a sequential manner over the full course, delivering an appropriate level for each year.

You will bring senior knowledge and experience of a clinical or educational field relevant to this area, understanding and experience of the application of a variety of teaching methods and settings and the design and application of assessment and innovation in medical education, together with prior expertise in leading others to deliver effective education and inspire engagement in education-related work.
