Phoenix Ward (Rehabilitation)
Part Time – 5 PA

The Trust is committed to providing high quality integrated health and social care for local people with mental health problems in South West London and more specialist mental health services for people throughout the UK.

We are a dynamic, financially stable mental health trust which has recently been rated ‘good’ by the CQC both overall and specifically for our rehabilitation and acute and urgent care services. We have begun a Trustwide quality improvement programme involving all clinicians, which is already delivering results. We have invested in further improvements to our adult care pathways, including innovative ‘Recovery Cafés’ for service users, a Psychiatric Decision Unit, and integrated Out of Hours services.

We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in, or with a special
interest in, rehabilitation psychiatry. This is a substantive post, available following the move of the existing consultant to another role within the Trust.

The post-holder will provide clinical leadership to the Trust’s well-established
16-bed inpatient rehabilitation ward, Phoenix Ward. The service has recently
revised and strengthened its clinical model, successfully reduced its length of stay, and improved its service quality. The team has been commended by the Trust and the CQC for the improvements it has made. We are looking for a consultant to continue this work, and to build on it and on the prospect of developing a rehabilitation pathway across all South London services as part of the ground-breaking South London Partnership. There would be the possibility of increasing the number of sessions as part of the SLP developments.

If you are a capable and dynamic practitioner who would like to be part of this forward-looking service, we would like to hear from you.
