Community Consultant Paediatrician
This is an exciting replacement Consultant Community Paediatrician post Designated Doctor Looked After Children and Medical Advisor. The successful appointee will work as Consultant Community Paediatrician for Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust (SCHT) and will be carrying out Community Development / Neurodisability work.
The post holder will be expected to provide clinical leadership for the Looked After Children Teams, working closely with community nursing staff, allied health professionals and social workers in the Local Authorities area. Interagency working is vital to the successful delivery of services to Children In Care and working across statutory, community and voluntary sectors is encouraged. The Trust aims to provide services in partnership with local communities, the voluntary sector and statutory bodies that are of high quality, evidence based and accessible to local people. Good co-operative and joint working is in place across disciplines and between Trusts. The integration of services between the hospitals and the community is recognised as an essential part of the service.
The appointee must be able to travel to meet the requirements of the job and will be eligible for a car through the Trust's lease car scheme, details of which will be available in the event of a job offer.
