Salary to be determined with due regard to the transitional arrangements relating to the 2016 contract for doctors and dentists in training (if applicable). Indicative scales; 2016 scale for doctors and dentists in training; £26,614 to £46,208 per annum (plus pay premia, where eligible).
Post-2009 Clinical Lecturer scale; £32,478 to £57,444 per annum

Liverpool has an outstanding international reputation for research in infection and global health. This post provides an exciting opportunity for an individual with relevant research experience who wishes to pursue a clinical academic career in Infectious Diseases, to join an expanding research Institute housed in brand new research laboratories, whilst continuing clinical training at Specialist Registrar level within the Tropical and Infectious Diseases Unit and associated specialties. The successful candidate will be expected to hold an honorary appointment at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and work across the University/School footprint.

You will have clinical Infection experience (Infectious Diseases/Microbiology) at Specialist Registrar level. You will have completed or are soon to complete an MD or PhD in a relevant area (to be fully awarded in order to take up the post). You will have research interests that will allow you to find support in Liverpool and will demonstrate outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic. The post is available for 4 years or until CCT. Candidates must be able to take up the post before 31 March 2019.
