About the Post
We are looking for highly motivated, skilled and compassionate Consultant Radiologists to join us on our journey to become a global leader in the delivery of island based health care.
These are replacement posts for General Radiologists with a specialist interest appropriate to the needs of the department. Special interests in Musculoskeletal and Interventional Radiology are desirable but not essential.
You will be working within a multidisciplinary team comprising five consultant radiologists (including this post) with radiographer and clerical team support. The Department is equipped to the very highest standards, with 64-slice CT, 1.5T MR, angiographic and nuclear medicine facilities.
The job plan for these posts consists of 10 Programmed Activities of which 7.5 are allocated to Direct Clinical care (DCC) and 2.5 allocated to Supporting Professional Activities (SPA); you will join part of our friendly Consultant team and take on an equal share of general radiological work with them, participating in a 1-in-5 on-call rota.
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if currently in a training programme within the UK.
The Department of Health and Social Care recognises the need for all medical staff on the Island to maintain connections with medicine in the United Kingdom and encourages links with other units as well as providing study leave with pay and expenses to attend approved conferences and workshops.
