Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has over 9,500 members, an annual turnover of c£100m and around 2000 staff and is the main provider of mental health and adult social care services across Lincolnshire. We provide care and treatment for a local population of some 718,800 people, as well as specialist services for people who live in other areas of the East Midlands.

We are focused on helping people towards recovery, enabling them to live well in their community as much as possible. We work closely with the local community to design and improve services, ensuring what we provide is best suited our patients, their carers and other family members.  Apart from some very specialist services which can only be provided by other organisations outside our area, we provide the full range of mental health services, as well as support for people with learning disabilities.

The Trust is innovative, caring and ambitious and is committed to seeking new and more effective ways to promote recovery and quality of life through mental health, social care and specialist community services provided by itself and in collaboration with partners. The Trust has a strong track record of performance across both finances and quality measures and is well placed to meet the demands of the future.  We received a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC following their inspection of the Trust’s services in June 2017, and the national NHS Staff Survey showed the Trust to have made significant improvements year on year, with it now being ranked as one of the top ten nationally. 

The Trust is now seeking to recruit an ambitious, forward thinking Medical Director with excellent clinical credentials, who is aligned to our values and behaviours and who champions mental health and learning disability services.  This role will be central our continuing success and enabling us to be the best we can be. You will be responsible for all professional medical matters and our medical leadership strategy and will provide inspirational leadership across the organisation, helping to develop a local healthcare economy that is joined-up, community-focused and of the highest quality and safety. 

You may already be operating at board level, but equally you may be a Deputy Medical Director or Clinical Director running a large division who is ready to make a first step into a board role. In either case, you will have an outstanding clinical reputation and highly credible medical leadership experience, gained within a mental health setting and the ambition and aptitude to make a major contribution to the Trust’s future success.
