Consultant in Liaison Psychiatry (Psychological Medicine)
A whole-time post as Consultant in Liaison Psychiatry (Psychological Medicine) is available now in the integrated Psychological Medicine Service in this leading acute Foundation Trust.
The appointee will join an innovative and large expanding team of consultant psychiatrists and psychologists. There are also opportunities to develop research with our University research programme.
This is a Trust appointment with a base at the John Radcliffe Hospital site. The post-holder will spend approximately half their time working in the general Psychological Medicine Service to the Trust and half working in a medical specialty (to be negotiated).
The Psychological Medicine Service provides service to all Divisions of the trust, and sits within the overarching Corporate Division.
This post would suit a psychiatrist with a CCT in adult psychiatry or a dual CCT in adult and old age psychiatry and experience of working in an acute hospital setting. An endorsement in liaison psychiatry is not essential. Senior trainees in the final months of their training are eligible to apply.
Candidates are highly recommended to visit the department and hospital and are invited to contact Dr. David Okai, Clinical Lead for Psychiatry at firstname.lastname@example.org or Prof. Michael Sharpe, Professor of Psychological Medicine, and Trust Lead for Psychological Medicine at Michael.Sharpe@psych.ox.ac.uk
