Consultant in Dermatology
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is nestled in the heart of the stunning Pennine hills; the area which inspired the works of the Bronte sisters. We’re conveniently situated between the vibrant cities of Leeds and Manchester surrounded by a rich and varied heritage with breathtaking scenery, places to see and things to do.
The trust has developed proposals for the next, and very exciting phase in the Trust’s history. If approved they would create- over the next five years- more centralised care at our Trust in two specialist centres. An emergency care centre with a dedicated paediatric unit and a specialist centre for planned care in a brand new hospital alongside our new Acre Mills Outpatient centre, across from the existing Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
An opportunity has arisen for two dynamic and highly motivated Consultant Dermatologists to join our Dermatology department. The successful applicants will work alongside other clinical colleagues in re-developing the Dermatology service across primary and secondary care. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicants to be involved in the reshaping of Dermatology services, for which there is a high level of commitment within the Trust, and partner organisations. The service will include and capitalise on expertise at all levels, namely General Practitioners, GP with a Special Interest, Consultants in Dermatology, specialist nursing staff and community based professionals. The two posts will build on successful partnerships with Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, Cancer Network and Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Applicants must be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining specialist registration at the time of interview and possess a Licence To Practise
