Hull City Council is seeking an exceptional Public Health Consultant looking to join the public health team and key partners in creating a fairer and inclusive City where everyone has the chance to live a happy, healthy and fulfilled life.
The successful applicant will have a passion for people, be ambitious for Hull as a Place and demonstrate skills and experience in leading across systems to ensure positive outcomes for health and wellbeing.
The Post holder will be responsible for a broad health improvement and wider determinant portfolio including inclusive growth, asset based community development, mental health and wellbeing, tobacco control, physical activity and tackling obesity.
You will operate as part of the senior leadership team in the directorate and be responsible for supporting the City Manager and Director of Public Health to deliver statutory duties relating to improving the health of Hull residents.
The post holder will play a key role in the population health approach to STP’s and provide public health advice and support to the City Leadership Board, Health and Wellbeing Board and Place Board.
