Consultant Geneticist (Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases)
Applications are invited for a Consultant Geneticist (Inherited Cardiovascular Disease) post.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for clinical genetics and genomic medicine to help drive the development of an inherited cardiovascular disease genetics service. Candidates for this part-time post (6) PA will be encouraged to develop this specialist service and lead relevant Genomic services and an MDT as appropriate.
The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with Laboratory colleagues to promote genomics including developing a genomic MDT for cardiovascular disorders with specialist clinicians and clinical scientists. The postholder will in addition have a clinical commitment and will be expected to take an active role in the on-going programme of audit, clinical governance, teaching and research within both Clinical Genetics and Cardiology.
The successful candidate will possess a CCST/CCT in Clinical Genetics (or be within six months of obtaining their CCST/CCT award at the time of application). There is no on call commitment with these posts.
