Salary £33,131 - £58,598 per annum

This is a fixed term (2 years) Clinical Research Fellowship to undertake a clinical study investigating the effects of exercise training on insulin sensitivity in South Asians at risk of diabetes and to uncover the mechanisms underlying any improvements observed. The post is funded by the Medical Research Council to the University of Glasgow and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU). The Fellow will be based at the BHF Glasgow Cardiovascular Research Centre and will be joining an active metabolic research team within the Institute. They will supervised by Prof Jason Gill, Dr Stuart Gray and Prof Naveed Sattar.
 

The Fellow will be expected to register for a higher degree (MD or PhD) and the work is will form the basis for submission of a higher degree. Training in relevant methodologies will be provided throughout the study.
