Consultant in Emergency & Colorectal Surgery with an interest in Emergency General Surgery
You are invited for a substantive Consultant post in Colorectal Surgery with an interest in emergency general surgery, based at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge. You will join a current team of 14 GI surgeons providing both elective specialist GI surgery and emergency general surgery, including being a regional Major Trauma Centre. Together with actively contributing to the elective activities of the Departments, the appointee will play a key role in the development and delivery of ambulatory and short stay surgical care within the Digestive Diseases directorate. The proposed 5-weekly timetable would encompass 1week (Monday to Friday) of daytime emergency general surgery activity with the remaining 4 weeks of elective colorectal activity. We also welcome the development of sub-specialty interest within Colorectal Surgery.
