2 Consultant Paediatricians
10 Programmed Activities
The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is the largest orthopaedic hospital in the UK, and is regarded as a leader in the field of orthopaedics both in the UK and world-wide. The RNOH provides a comprehensive range of neuro-musculoskeletal health care, ranging from acute spinal injury or complex bone tumour to orthopaedic medicine and specialist rehabilitation. This broad range of services is unique within the NHS.
An opportunity has arisen for 2 full time substantive Consultant Paediatricians, to replace 2 current locum positions, as part of a team of six Paediatric Consultants working in a busy environment. The appointees will be expected to work closely with the multi-disciplinary team. They will also be heavily involved in the RNOH strategy to broaden and diversify Paediatric medical services, both as support services to the Orthopaedic work of the hospital and as a standalone service. We are home to the Regional Sarcoma service, a National Spinal Cord Injury Service and a major Adult Rheumatology and Metabolic Bone Disease service.
We envision continued expansion into these arenas within Paediatrics.
RNOH is home to a UCL research campus with a full team of administrative support for all research. The department has an active education programme and the successful applicant will be encouraged to contribute to both the Departments research and education activities.
You will be expected to participate in the on-call rota for the unit.
For an informal visit to the Paediatric Unit or for further information please Dr Zilla Huma, Clinical Director at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 020 8909 5386.
