We are looking for a motivated Consultant, to support the reconfiguration of the child health service in west Wales, and developing the new model of acute and ambulatory care; you will join colleagues in a dynamic and forward looking General Paediatrics department.

All special interests will be considered.

Training and education are central to the function of the Health Board, forming a core element of the Clinical Governance Strategy. Hywel Dda is the prescribed connection for approximately 800 Doctors, with a dedicated Medical Appraisal and Revalidation Lead and Manager, who manages and co-ordinates appraisal and revalidation processes across all sites.

This post comes during a period of Health Board-wide service reviews, including a comprehensive reconfiguration of services for General Paediatrics in West Wales.

The aim is to provide a spectrum of flexible and responsive services for General Paediatrics across the Health Board, encompassing: Acute inpatient assessment and treatment, including HDU

Effective leadership to multidisciplinary staff members of the unit.

Development of teaching, training and research within the organisation, including a variety of trainees. South West Wales provides a wonderful lifestyle opportunity, and is renown to be one of the most beautiful places in the UK.
