Rotational post within medicine subspecialties

Fixed Term Contract (length negotiable)

Salary Scale: £38,582 - £42,399 plus £12,169 for out of hours work on a 1 in 7 rota without any night time duty, plus bursary of £7,000 for on-line post-graduate qualification through Cardiff University, or similar (will be pro-rata if working less than one year or at part time hours)

On-Call Commitment: No on-calls beyond 10pm

This post will be working in General Medicine with the following subspecialties:

1.            Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine

2.            Gastroenterology

3.            Cardiology plus Coronary Care Medicine

4.            Renal/Endocrinology/Care of the Elderly/Neurology including stroke medicine

5.            Rehabilitation Unit with Neurology out-patient clinics

6.            Acute Admissions Unit

There is an option to just work in Care of the Elderly/Neurology including stroke medicine, with no on-call commitment.

Part time hours will also be considered.

Jersey is situated just 40 minutes flying time from London with excellent transport links to Europe, the small beautiful Island of Jersey enjoys great weather, and sandy beaches surrounded by soaring cliffs and offers a healthy work-life balance.

Full travelling expenses are paid from a UK port of entry and the appointee may take advantage of Jersey taxation policies.   Under Jersey Law, applicants must possess FULL registration with the General Medical Council and hold a license to practice.
