The health Service provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities. Our primary hospitals include Hervey Bay Hospital, an acute 142-bed facility, Maryborough Hospital, an 80-bed subacute facility, and Bundaberg Hospital, a 179 bed facility. We also have several rural multipurpose facilities across the region. Purpose of the Role
A Principal House Officer is a medical practitioner in the third or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner. In this role you will provide leadership to junior residents working in the same clinical unit. Each position is supervised by senior medical staff, although a reasonable degree of autonomy is expected. We have several temporary full time positions (76 hours p.f.) for twelve months.
