Director, Research School of Population Health
The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic leader as the new Director for its Research School of Population Health. The ANU is ranked amongst the top universities in the world. Based in the capital city, the ANU is renowned for the quality of its research, the excellence of its teaching, and its ongoing contribution to public life.
This role will provide the opportunity to contribute to the Research School’s mission to conduct multi-disciplinary research and graduate education that will enhance the understanding of patterns of health and disease in Australia, its region and globally. You will have the responsibility to play a leading role in the strategic planning for the Research School and to integrate population health into major research strengths within the ANU College of Health and Medicine.
The successful applicant will have a distinguished record of teaching, research and publication in one or more of the fields related to population health, and a proven record of leadership, supervision and management in a high profile academic environment with the capacity to engage multiple disciplines in integrative research and teaching frameworks. An ability to further enhance and develop the performance and the national and international reputation in research and education of the Research School and the University is also essential.
