The Trust is committed to providing high quality integrated health and social care for local people with mental health problems in South West London and more specialist mental health services for people throughout the UK.

We are a dynamic, financially stable mental health trust which has recently been rated ‘good’ by the CQC both overall and specifically for our acute and urgent care services. We have begun a Trustwide quality improvement programme involving all clinicians, which is already delivering results. We have invested in further improvements to our acute and urgent care services, including innovative ‘Recovery Cafés’ for service users, a Psychiatric Decision Unit, and integrated Out of Hours services.

We are looking for another Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist to join the expanding South-West London Perinatal team. This is a new post, arising because of the commitment of substantially more funding to the service. This additional funding also provides for a number of additional consultants, junior doctors, specialist nurse practitioners, psychologists, OTs and other staff.

This new post is within the part of the team covering the London Boroughs of
Sutton & Merton, with a clinic base at St Helier Hospital, as well as outreach work in community settings across the two boroughs.

If you are a dynamic practitioner who would be keen to be involved in developing and expanding the service, we would like to hear from you.

For further details/informal visits please contact Dr Ben Nereli, Lead Consultant Perinatal Psychiatrist on 07515 579725 /

or Dr Seán Whyte, Clinical Director on 07976 287232 /

Closing date: Wednesday 19th September 2018.
Shortlisting: Thursday 20th September 2018.
Assessment Centre: Tuesday 16th October 2018.
Interview date: Wednesday 17th October 2018 at Springfield Hospital.
