You are invited for the post of Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine. This post is a replacement post; it is a whole time Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine.
You will provide a consultant anaesthesia and critical care medicine service.
You will participate in, and contribute to, the proper functioning and efficient running of the Departments of Anaesthesia Adult Intensive Care and High Dependency Units.
You will play a role in the delivery of a severe acute respiratory failure service including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and patient retrievals.
You will participate in critical care and anaesthesia outpatient and preoperative assessment clinics, as required, and to support the Trust’s transformation programme.
You will participate in the on-call rotas for Anaesthesia and Critical Care including AICU, HDU, ECMO and patient retrieval and to ensure that the provision of these are efficient and consistent with the needs of the service.
You are required to be fully registered Medical Practitioners and must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register or be eligible for admission to the Register within six months from date of interview for the post.
