Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (10 PAs)
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at St George’s Hospital is looking to appoint two full time Consultants in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Both posts are suitable for enthusiastic candidates with an interest in ambulatory gynaecology and will contribute to the department providing 133 hours of resident consultant cover on delivery suite per week. You will join a supportive and experienced team of 25 consultants.
These posts are aimed at expanding the outpatient ‘one stop’ gynaecology services and rapid access clinics. You will be required to have expertise in any of the following areas: transvaginal ultrasound, outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy and vulval disease. There will be leadership opportunities for the successful candidates in their area of expertise. You will also contribute to the inpatient and day surgery theatre lists. The on call will include a resident weekday night covering the delivery suite and acute gynaecology every 2 weeks (26 per year) and 6 weekends on call per year. You would be expected to be able to provide consultant delivered care for complex obstetric patients in a tertiary referral hospital.
