The Obstetrician Gynecologist’s primary responsibilities include examining patients, diagnosing medical problems and treating various illnesses and diseases. The Obstetrician Gynecologist will assist with maintaining and developing the patient service of OceanMed. There is also scope to bring or develop a further sub-specialty interest to complement existing expertise within the facility.  There is also the opportunity to develop new and innovative services and this is actively encouraged and supported.

The Radiologist with an interest in Breast Imaging will perform and report a range of imaging modalities including ultrasound, and mammogram, will diagnoses disorders and diseases, consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment, and corresponds with the appropriate medical professional or physician of which the patient is referred under. The Radiologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures, including various types of biopsies and aspirations, under ultrasound guidance and the Mammotome Mammotest stereotactic biopsy table. The Radiologist will assist with maintaining and developing the Radiology service of OceanMed. 

The Consultants will be required to work 45 hours per week, which will include 1 hour lunch break per work day. Working hours will generally be Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, however these are subject to change.

Qualification and Education Requirements: 

  • Education: Medical Degree with full registration in the field of interest posted for this vacancy.
  • Registration and Qualification: Applicants must be fully registered as a Health Practitioner in Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom, or United States of America and hold a valid qualification.
