You will take responsibility for 

  • Coordinate interventional endoscopy consultations and lists
  • Further active involvement in your field of interest, i.e. Endoscopy, Inflammatory Bowel Disease or Hepatology, and complete a research project in this field of interest
  • Involvement in the supervision and training of junior staff
  • Attend Departmental and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Involvement in research with the aim of completing at least one publication within the year

Requirements for the role

  • The Gastroenterology Fellow will have completed their two years of core gastroenterology training and be eligible for medical registration in Australia
  • While not mandatory, additional qualifications such as previous experience in research or a formal research degree, evidence of publications and presentations pertinent to the job would be well regarded
  • While not mandatory, previous established experience in Endoscopy and particularly experience in EUS and ERCP would be well regarded  
  • Involvement in the on-call roster with senior staff supervision

Salary information

  • Temporary full time (up to 12 months)
  • Base salary ranging from $134 389 - $148 091 per annum
  • Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
