Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Taunton & Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are recruiting to this combined post of Designated Doctor for Safeguarding Children (5 PA)and Consultant Community Paediatrician (5 PA). This exciting opportunity is a new post and has been created following the retirement of the previous Designated Doctor. The successful candidate will join Somerset CCG, the lead commissioner for health services for the population of Somerset and join a team of 4 consultants and 2 staff grades working in community child health at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton. In addition to the post holder developing expertise in safeguarding & child protection across the county, there will be an opportunity for them to develop a special interest within the community paediatric department to complement other lead roles.
