Locum Consultant in Vascular Surgery
We are very pleased to advertise this NHS Locum post for a Consultant in Vascular Surgery.
Although this is a whole time Locum post based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, applicants who wish to work on a part-time or sessional basis are also encouraged to apply.
You will ideally have Endovascular expertise in order to work with two other Consultant Vascular Surgeons to utilise four newly created sessions in the Interventional Radiology suite following significant investment by NHS Grampian in the Vascular Service.
It is expected that the appointee will undertake Peripheral Angiography, Angioplasty & Stenting and will contribute to the existing EVAR, FEVAR, BEVAR & TEVAR programmes. The Vascular Surgery team at ARI is comprised of 5 Consultant Vascular Surgeons, 2 Interventional Radiologists, 3 Vascular Technologists and a dedicated specialist Vascular Nurse.
The Vascular Unit enjoys a reputation of excellent team working and a supportive environment in which to work. It is emphasised that the new appointee will be fully supported as they adjust to their new environment. The department is supported by appropriate grades of junior staff and has an established track record in education, training & research.
There is a weekly networked Aortic Aneurysm MDT held jointly with the Vascular Service in Raigmore Hospital.
