Freelance Medical Editor
Freelance medical editor / project team opportunities
BMJ Knowledge Centre
BMJ Knowledge Centre has several exciting opportunities for medical writers/editors to join our team to work on BMJ Best Practice and BMJ Learning, our two popular online products for doctors and other healthcare professionals.
We are expanding our freelance editor team to enable us to launch two innovative projects to further enhance our highly rated content and we have a range of medical editor roles to fill, with flexible opportunities for both part-time and full-time work. The roles involve planning, commissioning, writing and editing complex medical content for a demanding audience of clinicians, both in the UK and globally. You will liaise with external clinical experts to ensure our content is up to date with the latest evidence and guidelines, as well as compelling and digestible for our target audience.
You might be an established freelance medical editor with proven experience of producing practice-changing, evidence-based content for clinicians. Or you could be a clinician yourself who has some writing or editing experience and a hunger to get involved in medical publishing, perhaps alongside your ongoing clinical work. You will certainly need strong editorial instincts, meticulous attention to detail and a confident approach, as well as proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
This is an opportunity to join an expanding and talented team in a varied and rewarding role, working for an innovative and increasingly global organisation that is proud of its commitment to improving patient care.
