Consultant in Medicine for the Elderly
Applications are invited for a Consultant post in Medicine for the Elderly at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our recently expanded clinical team and participate in the development of clinical services for older adults in Cambridgeshire.
The department is in the process of expanding and interested in developing innovative processes of care for our patient population. This post will offer opportunities for working across a range of clinical settings including core Medicine for the Elderly wards and the Frailty and Acute Medicine for the Elderly ward. It will also support the development of our PRIME service with an opportunity to participate in multi-disciplinary pre-operative assessment clinics and to participate in our developing in-patient liaison service in the general surgery wards. Successful candidates will be able to join a waiting list to participate in the General Medicine (GIM) on-call rota if desired.
The post is open to applicants with geriatrics speciality training. Applicants are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview.
